Friendship salad.

Tuesday before Thanksgiving holidays began was a special day in pre-kindergarten. We celebrated the beginning of the holidays by creating and sharing a friendship salad. What's a friendship salad? I though you'd never ask! Each student brought in a container of fruit, washed, sliced, peeled, and ready to eat. After combining and stirring our ingredients together, we thanked God for our treat, and fellowshipped together around the table eating our friendship salad. What a fun way to begin our Thanksgiving celebration!

Baby, it's cold outside!

As the weather continues to get cooler, please remember to bundle up your children in the mornings. Jackets, scarves, hats, and gloves will soon be a playtime necessity. Thank you in advance for remembering to label each item belonging to your child. Also, in continuing to hone our fine motor skills, please practice with your child at home on how to zip and/or button his/her coat. This is a lifelong skill that makes them feel so proud when they are able to do it all by themselves. Thanks for your help!

Hiding God's Word in our hearts. (November)

Daily, we are learning to hide God's Word in our hearts. One of the most effective ways to do this is through memorizing God's Word. Each month your child will be responsible for learning Bible memory verses.
Bible Memory Verses for November:

"My God shall supply all your needs."
Philippians 4:19

"O give thanks unto the Lord for He is good."
Psalm 106:1

To help your child learn their Bible memory verses, have them recite each verse on the way to school or at night just before bedtime.

Working hard in pre-kindergarten.

Throughout the week, we have been honing our sequencing skills. Yesterday and today, we put together our very own booklet telling the picture story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The children had to listen closely and follow many steps to complete this activity. If you dare to roam the hallways of our school, you just might find some bears on the walls!
